Kathy began her yoga journey in the fall of 2000 at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City, after being diagnosed with hyperthyroid. While working full-time as a Fashion Designer, she started practicing yoga twice a week, in order to counteract the symptoms of her thyroid condition.
In January of 2004, Kathy’s love for yoga led her to enroll in the 260-Hour Teacher Training Certification Course in Miami, Florida, with Rossella Rossi. Kathy taught at local studios and spas in Miami, while also implementing “Yoga for Lunch” into the corporate world. In addition, she taught private clients at their homes. She now teaches in Columbus, Ohio, where she resides with her husband, Doug, and their dogs named Zen and Rocco. She is experienced in Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Kids Yoga.
Kathy continues to deepen her spiritual practice by incorporating daily meditation and mantras into her life. Kathy’s inspiration is her students. “The most wonderful experience about teaching yoga is the people you meet and the ability to share the gift of yoga with them. It is rewarding to see the progress of students in their practice. Yoga creates a union whereby the students and the instructor learn from one another.”
